Jake Levesque


A man of many talents, Jake Levesque is well-known to Londoners in various capacities. He was born and raised in Niagara Falls, Ontario, where he played with rock-pop bands such as The Music Shop and East-West.

Jake Levesque He's been in London since 1973, singing and playing (piano and guitar) as a solo act and with numerous accomplices.  In the seventies you might have caught him at popular nightspots The Latin Quarter or The Elbow Room when he wasn't pursuing studies at UWO's Faculty of Music or playing with Freeway or Sweet Fever.  Later he showed up as an opening act at Change of Pace and with The SophistiKats, the house band for seven years at the Seven Dwarfs Restaurant.

He's been writing and performing more of his own music while also working with other songwriters. His music runs a wide gamut, with lots of influences including classical, jazz, and folk. 

He's currently a member of Mosaic, Enchanté, Joint Effort, The Stream Team, Magenta, and the Sharon Bee Show, among others, and has appeared more than once with The Dave Dillon Blues Band.  He is also the musical host of Acoustic Spotlight, a weekly series of house concerts.

His first CD, Live One, is soon to be followed by his second, Look Ma,Two Hands. 

All this time, Jake has also fallen deeply in love with the Theatre, and acts and teaches drama whenever he can.  He has created a controversial series of one-person shows entitled Original Sins.  Watch out for Part Three, if you dare.
