Robin has known since kindergarten that she wanted to be an artist. As a young wife and mother, she pursued many creative pastimes, including a successful 20 year career as a professional Belly Dancer. She has dabbled in clay, and carving, and sketches compulsively, but was always just a little afraid of paint and canvas.
It took the cancer death of a close friend, and her own brush with cancer, to overcome her fears. There is nothing like knowing that ‘one day' may never come to make you grasp your dreams with both hands, and hang on while they take you on a wild ride into the unknown.
Robin has studied with several artists, including Fred Harrison, Cheryl O, Carrie Burns-Brown, and is currently mentored by Kim Harrison. She is involved with many art guilds and organizations, and has shown extensively. Her current mixed media work expresses her deep environmentalist beliefs, and were literally inspired by a dream.
Robin accepts commissions for portrait work, both human and animal. Studio visits are by appointment.
